Grace Mott

I discovered Montessori when I was a child enrolled in a Montessori school. I discovered Acorn Montessori School through my mother, who works at the school. As a college student majoring in education, I love seeing the genius inherent in Dr. Montessori's approach to education and childhood and love working alongside the true professional educators at Acorn. I love watching the children learn and play, while developing problem solving skills and learning to be independent-thinkers. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing, listening to music, and playing guitar and drums. My favorite Dr. Montessori quote is: "Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.” Truly, children gain their self-confidence and skills from the adults

around them allowing them the grace and space to do for themselves, even when in the learning stages of developing a new skill.
